When are shipping notifications sent?
Below are the 6 notification triggers that you can choose to receive or send out shipping notifications. Select one or multiple notification triggers at your notification settings, and you can select to send to your customer or/and yourself.
|Info Received||Carrier has received request from shipper and is about to pick up the shipment.|
|In Transit||Carrier has accepted or picked up shipment from shipper. The shipment is on the way.|
|Out for Delivery||Carrier is about to deliver the shipment , or it is ready to pickup.|
|Failed Attempt||Carrier attempted to deliver but failed, and usually leaves a notice and will try to delivery again.|
|Delivered||The shipment was delivered sucessfully.|
|Exception||Custom hold, undelivered, returned shipment to sender or any shipping exceptions.|
- Only the FIRST Info Received, In Transit, Out for Delivery, Failed Delivery Attempt, Delivered, Exception will trigger the notifications. i.e. if the same delivery status takes place, it will not trigger notifications.
- If the shipment has already been delivered and then you add the shipment, no notifications will be sent out even if you turned on the notification settings. This is to avoid users sending out notifications for shipments that have been delivered ages ago.
