Set Up Reward Expiration Rule

Advocates and referred friends often delay making purchases, even after receiving a referral coupon. The primary reason is that they typically wait for additional discounts on the products they are interested in. Once the desired discount becomes available, they redeem their coupons, a strategy they refer to as a steal deal.
From a business perspective, this behavior can be detrimental. To address this, AfterShip Referral allows you to implement a reward expiration rule to encourage timely purchases and boost sales. Below is a guide on how to set this up.
Go to Referral > Campaign in your AfterShip Referral account.
Activate the referral program by shifting the toggle to the right.
Click Customize to access the referral campaign editor where you can set up the referral program, configure the messaging, and edit the style settings of the widget.
Under the Settings tab, select the checkbox for Rewards will expire after for both steps 1 (Advocates) and 2 (Referred friends). Define the reward validity in terms of the number of days.
The referral coupon would be valid between reward issue date and the {x} number of days set by you. It won't be applicable once the clock goes past 23:59:59 p.m. (UTC time zone) on the final day.
Click the Save button to finalize the process.

Already issued coupon codes will remain unaffected, regardless of whether you activate or deactivate the expiration rule.
AfterShip Referral allows you to configure multiple conditions for referral rewards. If you set the reward expiration rule along with any other condition, the coupon will only be applied when all specified conditions are met. Here’s a more detailed explanation:

This reward type includes the most conditions: Minimum order subtotal, Maximum order value, and Expiration rule. If you choose to activate all of them, both referrers and referees will need to meet all the conditions in order to receive free shipping on their orders.
Recommendation: It is advisable to limit the conditions to two for the free shipping reward type. Overcomplicating the conditions may deter potential customers, potentially resulting in lost sales.
