Exclude AfterShip Protection from Store Discounts

Because AfterShip Protection is a product in your eCommerce store, when the coupon you created does not exclude AfterShip Protection product, then the protection product would be discounted, and your consumers will pay less for the premium fee.
In this case, you’ll still need to transfer us the premium fee before discount. In order to prevent the unnecessary loss of you, if you’ll create coupon for your store, we may need you to exclude the AfterShip Protection product.
This article will tell about how to Exclude AfterShip Protection from Discounts within your eCommerce store.

Creating an “All Products (Exclude Protection)” Collection:
Log in to your Shopify admin
Click Products from your Shopify dashboard
Click on Collections under Products
In the upper right corner of the screen, click on Create collection
Under Collection type, click Automated
Name the collection All Products (Exclude Protection)
Under Conditions, choose Products must match: all conditions
Add the rule: Product vendor is not equal to AfterShip
Add the rule: Product type is not equal to Protection
Save the collection
Note: This will create a collection of all store products where AfterShip Protection is excluded. Any new products will automatically be added to this collection, so no additional work is needed to maintain this group.
If you have specific collections, please include the above two rules in addition to any other rules you have, so that AfterShip Protection is excluded from those collections as well.
Or you could modify the current ‘All Products (Exclude Protection)’ collection with the above rules.
There are two different discount instances: “Amount off Products,” as well as an “Amount off Order” discount. Only “Amount off Product” could exclude “AfterShip Protection” product.
When creating coupons, adding collections to the coupon defines what products the coupon can be applied to. As long as the two conditions to exclude AfterShip Protection are included in any of your collections (shown above), all you need to do is select the collections that you want to apply your coupon to.
Create a discount with ‘Amount off products’
Under the Applies to section, choose specific collections
Add the collections “All Products (Exclude Protection)” you want to apply the discount to.
Finish configuring the discount and then Save
Any “Amount off Order” discounts will need to be altered to “Amount off Products”, then applied to the new collection made for All Products(Exclude Protection).
You as the merchant will need to look through the rest of the existing Amount off Product discounts to see if there are any that reference AfterShip Protection and ensure AfterShip Protection is not discounted.
If the “Specific Products” is selected under the “Applies to” section within Shopify, then ensure that the AfterShip Package Protection is not included in the items to which the discount is applied.
This will only appear on the Amount Off Products discount.
If the “Specific collections” is selected under the “Applies to” section, then ensure that the AfterShip Package Protection is not included in the collection.
You will have to go into each collection listed above to ensure that the “AfterShip Protection” is not included in any of those collections. See the “Collections” section for more info.
Go to Marketing > Promotions in your BigCommerce admin
Under Automatic promotions, select your existing promotion campaign or create a new one
Navigate to the Rules section and click Edit to tweak the existing rules of the campaign
Add an exclusion rule to exclude certain products on which the reward rules will be applied
Please note that only two types of Automatic promotion templates allows you to add product exclusion rules, which are Buy X products, get % off the next and Buy any X products for $Y amount.
