How to Send Welcome Emails for Shopify Email Signup Forms

Set up automatic welcome emails in AfterShip Marketing for Shopify subscribers who opt in at checkout or via signup forms to engage customers and drive sales.

Send automatic welcome emails to visitors who opt-in to receive your email marketing via a Shopify signup form or account creation. It helps you drive sales by fostering engagement and building a strong relationship with customers.

What you’ll learn

Steps to send welcome emails for Shopify email signup forms

  1. Log into your AfterShip Email admin dashboard

  2. Go to Emails and SMS > Flows

  3. Select Welcome subscribers > Get started

4. In the flow editor, click Trigger 5. Specify the Signup source 6. Click Save

7. Once done, Click Send Email action card in the flow editor to customize the email

8. Go to Settings 9. Add Email subject and Sender info 10. Go to Content 11. Select blocks to edit content

  • Header: remove the default logo and add your store’s logo

  • Footer: edit description and address

  • Body: add or remove blocks as per your preference

  1. Go to Styles

  2. Customize text and style

Send yourself a test email to preview how your email is looking and check if any changes are required. If you're satisfied with it, click Enabled under Status and click Save.

When are these emails sent

The welcome emails are sent on two events:

  • When customers accept marketing emails at the checkout page.

The customer is added to the Email subscribers group under the Customers tab of your Shopify store.
