How to Schedule Follow-up Emails
Plan: All plans Platform: Shopify
Marketing emails are sent to promote products, but the factor that results in disappointment is poor email open rate.
With AfterShip Email, you can send follow-up emails and ensure your efforts in creating newsletters never go in vain.
You can schedule follow-up emails for newsletters that you've created in the last 15 days. It will have the same content as your first email, however, you will be able to modify the subject line for the sake of a better open rate.
Go to Email newsletters in your AfterShip Email admin. Select a newsletter for which you want to enable and schedule a follow-up email
Under the Settings tab, you’ll see a Follow-up email section. Click Enabled
Decide when (time) you want the follow-up email to be sent along with the subject line
Click Save
Once enabled and scheduled, the recipients will receive the follow-up email based on your settings, and there’s a high possibility that your overall email open rate will start improving.
You will have to wait at least 2 days to be able to send the follow-up email after the first newsletter was sent.
The follow-up email option will remain active for 15 days from the day you've sent your first email.
Currently, a follow-up email can be triggered for only one condition: Inform those recipients who overlooked your newsletter the first time. However, if you want to send an email for other events as well, run a separate campaign by using our additional filters.
Under the Settings tab, there’s a Send to section with the Filters option > Click on it
Tap on the Edit filter button and choose Interacted with emails from the dropdown menu. Select Did not open from the dropdown below it
Choose the campaign for which you want to send a follow-up email
Hit the Save button to save your filter
Tap on the Send now button to start delivering your emails to the correct inboxes
