How to Schedule Follow-up Emails

Overview
Marketing emails are sent to promote products, but the factor that results in disappointment is poor email open rate.
With AfterShip Email, you can send follow-up emails and ensure your efforts in creating newsletters never go in vain.
Steps to schedule a follow-up email
- Go to Email newsletters in your AfterShip Email admin. Select a newsletter for which you want to enable and schedule a follow-up email
- Under the Settings tab, youโll see a Follow-up email section. Click Enabled
- Decide when (time) you want the follow-up email to be sent along with the subject line
- Click Save
- Once enabled and scheduled, the recipients will receive the follow-up email based on your settings, and thereโs a high possibility that your overall email open rate will start improving.
Additional considerations
- You will have to wait at least 2 days to be able to send the follow-up email after the first newsletter was sent.
- The follow-up email option will remain active for 15 days from the day you've sent your first email.
Can I trigger a follow-up email for other events as well?
Currently, a follow-up email can be triggered for only one condition: Inform those recipients who overlooked your newsletter the first time. However, if you want to send an email for other events as well, run a separate campaign by using our additional filters.
- Under the Settings tab, thereโs a Send to section with the Filters option > Click on it
- Tap on the Edit filter button and choose Interacted with emails from the dropdown menu. Select Did not open from the dropdown below it
- Choose the campaign for which you want to send a follow-up email
- Hit the Save button to save your filter
- Tap on the Send now button to start delivering your emails to the correct inboxes
