Plans : Learn more Platforms : All platforms

Overview

For TikTok merchants, leveraging creators’ influence is key to driving product exposure through engaging shoppable videos. To simplify the process of connecting with creators and invite them to create engaging promotional videos for your brand, we offer an email feature to facilitate these collaborations.

You can send individual invites to creators stating the specific terms of the partnership.
You can also send bulk-invitation to a specific segment of creators detailing the benefits of joining the program, such as commission rates, marketing materials, and support offered.

How to send email invites to creators for collaboration

Access the email feature

Go to Affiliates > Emails in your AfterShip Feed admin.
Click on Send email to begin the email preparation and scheduling on the email editor.
Select the default email template or build a custom email template.

Customize the email

The email editor is composed of three sections.

A. Settings

Email settings

Email name: Give your email invite a name for easy reference like "Invite to Collaborate - December 2024"
Email subject line: Set a captivating subject line for the email invite to increase open rate like "A partnership idea we're excited to share!"
Preview Text: Appears directly below in the subject line in the email inbox. Offer additional context to encourage the recipient to open the email. Example: "Join us for an exciting opportunity to collaborate on new projects."

Tip: Keep the preview text this short and enticing, as it gives recipients a sneak peek of the email's content.

Sender Info: Configure the Send from email address that recipients will see when they receive your email. You can use the default email address or set another email as default if you want to send emails from any other email address. You can update your default sender info under Affiliate settings > Email settings > Email sender info from your AfterShip Feed settings.

You can also set up additional email addresses and send emails from there. Select Other, select the sender email from the dropdown, and edit the sender name. You can add more email addresses to the Sender emails list by clicking Manage sender emails. You will be directed to your Organization settings' Sender emails page to configure more sender emails that can be used to send emails.

You need to verify the sender's email before you can send emails from this address. For Unverified emails, a red banner confirming the same will appear. Follow the instructions to verify your domain here.

Reply-to email: It could be the same as the sender's email address, or you could set it to another email address if you want replies to go to a different inbox.
Send to: Click Add creators to select creators to whom you want to send an invite for collaboration.

Add creators to ''Send to" list

You can choose creators from My creators list and Creator's marketplace (creators originally imported from TikTok Shop but not yet added to My Creators list).
You can search creators by name, nickname, or email address.
You can apply available filters to narrow down the selection.
Once creators are selected, click Confirm to add creators to the Send-to list.
To remove creators from the Send to list, click the bin button.

Note:

You can send emails to a maximum of 1,000 creators per email.
Both the lists will only display creators with email addresses.

AfterShip branding: This controls whether the "Powered by AfterShip" branding appears at the bottom of your email. Removing the branding would make your email look more customized and less like a template or promotional message from the platform.

Save or send email

Save: The campaign will be saved as a draft, allowing you to send the email whenever you're ready.
Send now: The email template will be sent immediately to the designated creators.
Save as template: The template will be saved for future use, making it easier to edit and send again later. You can use the saved template when you're ready to send the email next time under Custom templates.

Custom templates

B. Content

Under the Content section of the email editor, edit the header, footer, and most importantly the message of the email invite you will send to the creators to collaborate with you.

Header: This is where you can edit the organization name and logo.

By default, the organization name would be set to Invite to collaborate, though you can edit it anytime to suit your needs in the Organization name editor.

Your organization name will only show if you haven’t uploaded a logo.

If you want to add your brand logo to the email, select Select image > Upload > Select image from the device or Drop an image to upload under the Logo section. You can also upload an image URL to extract the image from. Once the image is uploaded, it will automatically be saved in the Image library if you wish to use it in other collaboration emails.
Edit the logo (image) width based on the layout of your email by dragging the radio button to the right to increase or left to decrease the width.

Add logo in the email

Text: This is where the message of the invite goes. It is the most crucial section of the email as it details the terms of the collaborations including,

a. The introduction of your brand.
b. How the creator’s audience aligns with your product (Personalization).
c. Collaboration opportunity and how it will be mutually beneficial to you and the creator.
d. Incentives of the deal—free product sample and commission on the sale of the product.
e. A call to action, inviting creators to express interest in the opportunity and share their thoughts.

The text section is fully customizable. You can make modifications to the default message or write one from scratch in the text editor.
Insert merge tags to auto-populate certain information in the email like Sender name, Creator username, and Organization name.
Edit the background color of the text (message) section.
Select the devices this section will be shown on under the Visibility settings.
Configure the top and bottom padding of the text section.

Text section

Additional sections: You add more sections to the layout of the email to add additional information in the email. Click +Add section. (See the example of a Promotion bar in the image below)

Choose the section you want to add and click Add.
Configure the section based on your needs.
Reposition the section in the email with a simple drag and drop.

Promotion bar (Additional sections)

Footer: In this section you edit the footer of the email. The footer of an email should typically include:

Contact information: Your business email, phone number, and/or address.
Unsubscribe link: For marketing emails, a link allowing recipients to opt-out.
Legal disclaimers (if necessary): Any relevant terms or conditions.
Social media links: Optional, to encourage further engagement.

C. Style

In this section, you can configure the look and display of your email to align with your brand style and tone.

Additional actions

You can sort the email invitations by their statusdraft, running, failed, and succeeded.
You can sort the email campaigns by their creator. All the Members of the organization irrespective of the Role can create, edit, and send emails. You will find the list of members of your organization under Created by filter. Upon selecting the creator, the emails created by them will display on the emails dashboard.

Filter emails by creator

You can edit emails in the draft state anytime you want.
You can duplicate an existing email if you wish to copy over the exact structure and aesthetics of an email.
You can delete an email campaign from the dashboard. This action is irrecoverable.

Track email performance (Coming soon)

Once emails are sent, you will be able to see metrics such as sent count, open rate, and click rate to evaluate the effectiveness of your campaign.
