How to Pin a Product in Recommendations

Overview

Product recommendations are a great way to increase the sales of your top-selling items, however, they can work in your favor when clearing the stock or promoting your most sought after products. With AfterShip Personalization, you can pin a product in recommendations very easily. Check this guide to understand the process.

Steps to pin products

1. Log in to your AfterShip Personalization account.
2. Navigate to Merchandising engine > Strategies page.
3. Edit the existing strategy to pin products on the recommendations widgets or create a new strategyand use it for the scenario you want.
4. Click Edit to access the product recommendations widget editor.
5. Scroll down to Pinned products section to select products that you'd want to always appear first as recommendations irrespective of the recommendation type or engine selected.
6. Click Select to choose the product.
7. Once done, click Confirm.
8. Save your changes.

Additional considerations

• You can pin multiple products from our Shopify catalogue to appear first in your widgets.
• The status of the pin products should be Active in your Shopify admin.
• The pinned products will always appear first in your recommendations.
• If you pin and exclude the same product, it will still be pinned in your product recommendations.
