Connect your AfterShip Returns account with VESYL carrier account to facilitate quick USPS label generation for your return shipments at the most competitive prices.
Active AfterShip Returns account with Essentials, Pro, Premium, or Enterprise plan.
Active VESYL account.
VESYL API Key to authenticate and authorize API requests from AfterShip Returns.
Sign up for VESYL: Go to VESYL.COM and create a new account.
Set up payment method under billing: Set up your payment method. Turn on Auto recharge, and set your Recharge threshold and Recharge amount.
Find and copy your API key: Under your name in the bottom left-hand corner, click on Settings and then Developer Settings. Locate your API key and copy it to the clipboard, which you will need to connect VESYL to AfterShip.
Connect VESYL to AfterShip Returns: Navigate to Returns shipping > Carrier accounts and services. Click Add carrier, search for VESYL, and paste in your copied API Key. Once completed correctly, you’ll see VESYL listed under My carrier account in AfterShip Returns shipping settings.
Purchase your label: Purchase your USPS label via AfterShip. All the shipping and package details will be sent to VESYL and the cost of the label will be deducted from your VESYL account.
Note that you need to setup the payment method with VESYL before creating the shipping labels. Should you meet any troubles during the account setup, contact our support team for help.
Routing rules
When activating and setting up Ship with a return label as one of the return shipping methods for your return zones for customers to send back return items, make sure your Package type is set to Custom when the carrier selected is VESYL.
Auto-approve RMA for Ship with a return label shipping method
If you enable the Auto-approval feature for return label generation, you can filter out all affected RMAs by clicking the “Approved” tag and selecting “No prepaid label” from the shipping status list on the Returns dashboard.

Click on Edit shipping info on the error banner on the RMA detail page for which Ship with a return label shipping method is selected by the customer. Confirm that the carrier account has been selected as VESYL, then click Confirm.
