How to Enable Order Lookup by Email or Shipping Postal Code

On AfterShip Returns, merchants can allow their customers to search or find their orders by email address, shipping postal code and phone number. This can be easily set up in your return page editor.
In this tutorial, we’ll discuss:
How to enable order lookup
Modify the verification method prompts
Log in to AfterShip Returns admin account.
Go to Customizations > Returns page.
Select Find order from the dropdown displaying the various stages of the return submission process.
Under Verification methods, check Email address, Shipping postal code, Phone number or all three if you want your customers to find their orders with all the three options. Based on the verification methods selected, the customers needs to provide that information along with the order number for verification.
Hit the Save button.
Once done, you need to modify the prompts of these methods and the corresponding error messages. Please make sure you modify it because the system will not update automatically.
Once you have enabled the required verification methods for order identification, go ahead and edit the prompts that will display on the placeholders of each of the verification method. These prompts give customers the information of what needs to be provided in the box for them to proceed with the return request submission.
Once you are done, editing the content of the prompts, Click Localize in the upper-right hand side of the to edit the prompt texts in all the languages you have configured your returns page in.
On the return page multi-language editor, select the language in which in which you want to tweak the prompt text from the dropdown above and move to individual placeholders to edit their content. Though our system auto-translates the various returns page elements in the language you set, we will still recommend verifying the translation.
Move to the Error messages section, set your error message for Order lookup - Can't find order
You add another language for your returns page, expand the language dropdown and click + Add language .
Select the language from the list of supported languages.
Select the checkbox if you want our system to run the auto-translation of your returns page.
Hit Add.
Check all the sections of your returns page again and edit content wherever required on the multi-language editor.
