Overview

With the introduction of the new returns page, merchants now have the option to customize the return experience by adding a background image across the entire return process. This feature aims to enhance branding and improve the overall experience for customers submitting return requests. The new version introduces several new UI elements and design improvements that aims to offer a more seamless, intuitive, and visually appealing return experience.

Customer segmentation and release plan

The new returns page will launch on August 1st, 2024.
All existing merchants will transition to the new returns page within one month of the release.

Key changes in the new returns page

General updates

Background image: Merchants can now set a background image that will be displayed across all return-related pages, including Order Lookup, Item Selection, Resolution, Return Method, Review, RMA List, and RMA Detail pages.

Removed progress bar: The progress bar has been removed to provide a cleaner look.

Order lookup page

UI enhancements: We have updated user interface elements for a more intuitive navigation experience.

RMA list

Inclusion of return item images: We have introduced a feature that displays images of the items being returned in each return request on the return list.

Before: The return list only showed the RMA number and the status of the return request, which could be confusing and difficult for customers to identify the return request they are looking for in a go.

Now: With the introduction of images, customers can easily recognize their return requests, as the item images help them quickly identify the corresponding return entry in the list.

Item selection

Streamlined UI: We have introduced new user interface elements for a more efficient selection process. Each item on the items selection page will now be displayed in their respective boxes, with prominent borders, perfectly aligned product information, and concise return information in a greyed out box.

Resolution page

Improved UI elements: We have enhanced the user interface for clearer resolution options, efficient resolution selection with checkmark indicator, and next stage progression option at the bottom of the page.

Return method page

Refined UI: The return method selection page has been redesigned so that each return method option is displayed in its own distinct box, which aims to visually separate and distinguish between different options.

Icon: Each option now includes an icon to visually represent a return method for quick and easy identification.

Checkmark indicator: Once a user selects a return method, a checkmark appears on the chosen option to allow customer a visual cue that a method has been selected and they can proceed on to the next step.

Review/Detail Page

Enhanced review process: We a improved user interface for a better return request review experience.
