Enable UPS Paperless® for Commercial Invoices for International Shipping
Overview
Customer using UPS for international shipping are required to switch to UPS Paperless® for commercial invoices to avoid being charged for using paper invoices effective April 2024.
Why is there a surcharge for using paper invoices?
Ongoing regulation changes around the world have significantly increased the cost to service paper commercial invoices, creating potentially longer handling times.
What is the timing?
The surcharge is set to be implemented starting April 2024.
How much is the surcharge and when will it start?
Effective April 2024, there will be a $1.00 USD surcharge for using paper documents. This fee will gradually increase from $3.00 USD at the beginning of July 2024 and to $5.00 USD at the beginning of October 2024.

Enable paperless in AfterShip Shipping/Returns
Go to your carrier account, check the Paperless invoice in your UPS account settings.
