How Will I Be Billed?

Overview

This article will guide you on how shipping costs are billed when using a carrier account directly (like UPS, FedEx, or other logistics providers).

Carrier Accounts

If you have a shipping account set up directly with a carrier (like FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.), rather than using a third-party shipping service, the carrier will charge you for the cost of shipments you send using their service.

Billing Cycle

a. Invoice-Based Billing : Some carriers generate invoices at regular intervals (e.g., every two weeks or monthly) for the shipments you've sent during that time. These invoices are typically paid via ACH payment (bank transfer), which is a secure method of transferring funds directly from one bank account to another.

b. Pre-Payment : Other carriers require that you pre-pay for shipping costs, meaning you need to pay upfront using a credit card or ACH payment before the shipment is processed.

Payment Methods

a. ACH Payment (Bank Transfer) : This is a direct electronic transfer of funds from one bank account to another. It's often used for recurring payments or large transactions due to lower fees compared to credit card payments.

b. Credit Card : Some carriers allow users to pay for shipping on a per-shipment basis using a credit card.
