Plans: All plans Platforms: All platforms

Overview

You can test the features and functionality of AfterShip Shipping in Test mode without impacting your live orders or incurring charges.

Enable test mode

  1. Connect your Sandbox account: Log in to your AfterShip Shipping Sandbox account or use one of our testing carrier accounts to get a hands-on experience of AfterShip Shipping functionality. The account is specifically set up for testing purposes and ensures that your live data is unaffected.

  1. Set up default ship from locations: Configure ship from locations for your shipments in AfterShip Shipping settings or modify the existing locations to initiate test transactions. Your ship from locations provide origin information for packages shipped through AfterShip Shipping.

  1. Enable test mode: Find and enable Test mode in your AfterShip Shipping admin to create and manage test shipments and labels without impacting your live data.

Quick tips:

1. No charges for creating test labels: You can apply different scenarios to create test shipping labels without any charge.
2. Data segregation: Any data created in test mode will be kept separate from live mode to avoid any impact on the actual data and figures.
3. No sync with eCommerce platform: When an order is shipped in test mode, this information will not be synced with your connected store and no notifications will be sent out for test transactions.

Manage orders in test mode

  1. From your AfterShip Shipping admin, select a dummy order from the All orders list or create a new test under one of the shipment statuses— Pending payment, Awaiting shipment, Legal generated, and Shipped.

  1. For a newly created test order, enter required shipment details including,

  • Ship from and Ship to address
  • Order information including order number, order date, order payment date, product attributes, and shipping information.
