How to Link Product Documents and Videos in Your Email Notifications

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to link product-related documents and videos in your email notifications. Adding documents and videos to products ensures that customers receive important information associated with the product via email notifications. This is useful for products that require handling instructions, user manuals, warranties, or demonstration videos.
Log in to your AfterShip Tracking account.
Go to Settings > Feature settings > Email and SMS.

Click on Product documents to link files and videos to products to include them in your customer emails.

Select your store from the dropdown menu.

Click Link product documents to choose products to link files and/or videos.
In the Product search bar, select the product from the dropdown.

Select the Variant of the product, if applicable.
Under Files, click Add file, and a pop-up will appear on the screen.
a. Enter the URL of the document you want to upload.
b. Enter the File name.
This name will appear in customer emails.
Click Add to link the file.
Preview, Rename, or Delete files from the menu(⋮).
Under Videos, click Add video, and a pop-up will appear on the screen.
a. Enter the URL of the video.
b. Enter the File name.
This name will appear in customer emails.
c. Click Add to upload the video.
Click Save to link the document(s) and video(s). The related files/videos will now be listed on the Product documents dashboard.

To include product documents in email templates:
Go to Notifications > Email templates.
Click Edit on the desired template.

Under Content, click Add section.

Under Specific scenarios, hover over Product documents and click Add.

The product documents will be shown immediately in the template.You can also customize the template’s text, font, color, etc.

Click Save to successfully add the product documents to emails.

Product Handling Instructions: If a product is fragile, perishable, or requires special care, you can attach handling instructions or safety guidelines.
User Manuals and Setup Guides: For electronic devices, appliances, or software, provide a user manual to help customers set up their products.
Warranty & Policy Documents: Link warranty details, return policies, or certification documents for easy customer access.
Demo & How-To Videos: If a product requires assembly or has unique features, adding a video tutorial can enhance the customer experience.
If the files or videos do not appear in the email template, ensure they are saved and successfully linked to the product. Refresh the page and try again.
