Opening CSV Export in Google Sheets
Plans: Pro, Premium, Enterprise Platforms: All platforms
Users can export the tracking data from their AfterShip Tracking account in the form of CSV file by following these steps.
You can open this file using Google Sheets but some of the tracking numbers have “0” prefix, for e.g. 0648683284752281, or 0303710284408686 and these come up as 648683284752281 or 303710284408686. This can become the cause for bad data as these tracking numbers will not display any information.
This can simply be eliminated by following these steps:
Open a blank Google Spreadsheet.
Under File, click on Import and move to the Upload tab. From there drag the exported CSV file from your computer or select the Browse option. Select the file and click Open.
Once the file is uploaded, you’ll see a dialogue box below.
Select No where it says Convert text to numbers, dates, and formulas and then click Import data.
This way, your file will import with the correct tracking number format.
