Verify Sending Domain for Delivery Notifications

Want to prevent delivery notifications from landing in customers’ SPAM folder? Start sending emails from a custom email domain and boost email delivery rates. AfterShip enables you to use CNAME entries for verification of Send from email addresses. AfterShip sends out delivery notifications using Sendgrid.
A few points to consider if you use SPF (Sender Policy Framework)
You can include SendGrid to the existing SPF record
You need to add CNAME entries at AfterShip’s end
Please note that only business domains like [email protected] can be verified. Verification is unsupported for free email addresses ending with Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, or AOL to prevent email scams.
Access your Organization account > Sender Emails > Click on Verify Domain to get 3 CNAME entries
Create 3 CNAME records at your domain's DNS settings and save changes
Come back to the Sender Emails page, once CNAME entries are added > Click on Verify to finish the process
It may take up to 24-48 hours to reflect the changes.
If CNAME records pre-exist in SendGrid, follow the below-mentioned steps.
Access your Organization account > Sender Emails > Click on Verify Domain to get 3 CNAME entries
Create 3 CNAME records with the below-mentioned values at your domain's DNS settings.
Instead of creating entries starting with values s1 & s2, you need to use a01 and a012 respectively.
Save changes
Once CNAME entries using the custom DKIM selector are created, contact us at [email protected] so that we can check the entires at our end.
