How to Map Products on Your eCommerce Platform

Once your eCommerce platform and TikTok Shop are connected to AfterShip Feed, there are certain prerequisites to be able to map your eCommerce platform products to TikTok Shop categories.

If your store is on Shopify, you need to make the following settings on the Shopify product page before you can map your products to TikTok Shop.
Log in to your Shopify account
Navigate to Products from the admin and pick a product of your choice
Change the product status to Active
Add AfterShip Feed for TikTok Shop to Sales channel.
Click the {...} icon under Publishing section and select Manage sales channels
Select AfterShip Feed for TikTok Shop and hit Done
This is particularly helpful for merchants who would like to show certain products exclusively on TikTok Shop and not on their online store.
Only products for which the sales channel is set to AfterShip Feed for TikTok Shop and the status is active on Shopify will be synced to the AfterShip Feed Products dashboard with the Active status. In the event of absence of either of the two conditions, the Product status will be shown as Inactive.
If you deactivate a product on the Shopify online store, the synced product will be deactivated on TikTok Shop automatically.
For products that are already synced to your TikTok Shop, you can easily auto-deactivate TikTok products by either removing AfterShip Feed for TikTok Shop from Shopify's sales channel or changing the status to Draft or Archived. It will reactivate as soon as you activate the product on Shopify.
TikTok Shop products can only be linked to Shopify products that are active and have been added to the AfterShip Feed for TikTok Shop sales channel.
After installing AfterShip Feed for the first time, the system will continuously synchronize the platform's products and product categories to Feed. Typically, this process takes approximately an hour, but the exact duration depends on the number of products you have. You can view the synchronized products on the Products page under Product center.
Only products with the Active status on the eCommerce platform will be synced to the AfterShip Feed Products dashboard with the Active status. Otherwise, the product status will be shown as Inactive.
Only products that are not linked to items on your TikTok Shop can be mapped.
Products mapped but not yet synced to TikTok Shop can be remapped again under the Category mapping section
Users can manually map both active and inactive products in Product center, but AfterShip Feed won’t auto-sync inventory for inactive products
Only active products can be auto-mapped by category templates
Only active products can be linked to products from TikTok Shop (not synced by AfterShip Feed)

Map products on Shopify
