Set Up Order Cancellation Sync for Magento Users

AfterShip Feed’s Order cancellation sync feature allows you to streamline the order cancellation sync, restocking, and refund between Magento and TikTok Shop without visiting the other platform when an order is canceled and refunded on any platform. Configure the settings to set up how the order cancellation information will flow from Magento to TikTok Shop and vice-versa via AfterShip Feed.
Magento users must follow these instructions to update the AfterShip Feed for Magento2 plugin to ensure that AfterShip Feed can properly receive and process refund events for your orders.
If the plugin is not updated as required, AfterShip Feed may fail to capture refund events in a timely manner.
Go to Settings in the AfterShip Feed admin.
Click Channel settings and proceed to select Cancellation sync.
Select the TikTok Shop if multiple TTS stores are connected to AfterShip Feed from the top-right corner.
AfterShip Feed offers two cancellation options.
a. Magento refund → TikTok Shop cancellation
Let’s say the order was placed on TikTok Shop for one of your Magento store products. If this option is activated, the merchants need to refund the order on Magento to trigger cancellation sync on TikTok Shop via AfterShip Feed.
In simple terms, based on this Order cancellation sync setting, AfterShip Feed will sync the order refund from Magento and the default reason to TikTok Shop and cancel the order on TikTok Shop.
Select the checkbox for Magento refund → TikTok Shop cancellation.
Select the default cancellation reason from the list. This reason will be shown on the TikTok Shop order when cancellations are synced from Magento.
Click Save
Once enabled, orders refunded (Credit memo) on Magento will be automatically synced and canceled on TikTok Shop by AfterShip Feed.
b. TikTok Shop cancellation → Magento refund
When a TikTok order is canceled by the buyer or auto-canceled by TikTok Shop, Feed will auto-refund the corresponding Magento order, in case the merchant fulfills the order and causes financial losses.
TikTok Shop cancellation → Magento refund option will be enabled by default.
Select if you do not want to restock the cancelled item on Magento.
AfterShip Feed cannot auto-restock Magento inventory.
Once set up, if a TikTok Shop order is canceled by the buyer or auto-canceled by TikTik Shop, the corresponding Magento order will be automatically refunded by AfterShip Feed.
Since in both cases the order is placed on TikTok Shop, the refund will be initiated and paid by TikTok Shop to buyers.
AfterShip Feed will refund the Magento order upon cancellation of TikTok Shop order.
When syncing new TikTok Shop orders to Magento, AfterShip Feed will now create Magento orders with invoices. The invoices indicate that the order has been processed and is considered paid.
According to Magento2 policy, orders with invoices cannot be canceled because they are considered complete and paid. However, these orders can still be refunded, but only through a Credit memo.
So moving forward, because Magento2 orders will include invoices, they will be treated as paid and non-cancellable and can only be refunded to trigger cancellation sync via AfterShip Feed

Before you start
