Connect Facebook Messenger With AfterShip Tracking

You can integrate Facebook Messenger with AfterShip Tracking to send proactive delivery updates to shoppers through Facebook Messenger. Shoppers can subscribe to order status notifications from the AfterShip branded tracking page.

Create connection

Log in to your AfterShip Tracking admin account
Go to Tracking pages > Page variations
Select the tracking page template for which you want to enable Facebook Messenger notifications. Click Actions > Edit to open the editor

You can set up multiple branded tracking pages targeting specific customer segment. Enable Facebook messenger notifications for a specific tracking page will enable notifications for that segment only

Move to the Subscription section under Sections and click on it to open the detailed view or click + Add section > Subscription if you were not giving this option before

Facebook messenger notifications subscription is only available for Nomad, Sake, Sake (Legacy), and Hero theme.

To give customers the option of Subscribe to notifications on the tracking page, you are required to

a. Connect your Facebook Messenger account

Select the Facebook Messenger checkbox under Subscription methods > Connect now
Log in to your Facebook account
Choose the Facebook page to which you want to connect your AfterShip Messenger and give access to. Click Confirm
Review what AfterShip Messenger is requesting permission to do and click Done
Click Ok to finish setting up
Confirm again the Facebook page you want connect

Your AfterShip Tracking is now linked to your Facebook account.

b. Activate notifications for key tracking statuses for Facebook

Click Manage subscriber notifications under AfterShip and move to the Facebook tab
Enable notifications for key statuses for which notifications will be sent to customers via Facebook messenger. Exit the screen once done.

Edit the title and button text under Subscribe to notifications section and hit Save. This is your customer facing text on the branded tracking page.

Manage connection

Go to Apps in the AfterShip Tracking admin
Click the {...} icon
Select Change Facebook page under Facebook Messenger app

Choose your preferred Facebook page and click Update
You can delete the Facebook Messenger connection by clicking on Delete connection
