Customize Shipment Notifications

Customize Shipment Notifications in AfterShip Tracking: follow setup steps, configure key options, verify behavior, and troubleshoot workflow issues.

Overview

AfterShip Tracking gives you complete customization freedom to edit the notification template that will be emailed to your customers.

Email notifications

Once email notifications are enabled, follow the steps below to customize the email notifications template.

  1. Select the template and click the Edit button displayed alongside the notification toggle button

  2. Select Edit email notification

  3. You will land on the notification editor page

  4. You can choose among the three editors to customize the notification

    • Drag-and-drop email editor: Customize content, add blocks, and edit basic font style and color

    • HTML email editor: Edit email subject and body in the basic HTML format

    • Easy email editor: Build highly personalized and aesthetically appealing email notifications tailored to your brand style with diverse layering, style, and formatting options

      Easy email editor is only available for Enterprise users.

  5. Expand the downward-facing arrow icon to select the theme from the dropdown

  6. Once edits are made, select Save

  7. Preview the final version of the email on both desktop and mobile

  8. Send yourself or other members of the organization a test email

SMS notifications

The customization capability for SMS notifications is not supported, but you can still preview what all information will be sent to customer in the tracking SMS notifications.

  1. Go Notifications > Emails and SMS in the AfterShip Tracking admin

  2. Move to the SMS tab and click the {...} icon and click Preview SMS to view the SMS template

The customization of SMS notifications is available for selected countries. Before sending these notifications, please check the rules followed by telecom authorities in different countries.
