How to Manage Unverified Reviews
Plans: Essentials, Pro, Enterprise Platforms: Shopify
Verified reviews are those submitted by real buyers who have had an actual interaction with your business. These reviews may come from your review request emails or can be synced from trusted third-party platforms like Trustpilot.
Unverified reviews, on the other hand, are those where we can't confirm whether the reviewer is a real buyer. These reviews may be submitted directly from your storefront (without purchase proof), imported via CSV, or synced from third-party review platforms without confirming the transaction. As a result, they are not linked to any specific purchase or customer interaction.
With AfterShip Reviews, you can not only generate reviews from your storefront, AliExpress, CSV files, Trustpilot and emails but can also handle unverified reviews effortlessly to safeguard your business’s integrity on the AfterShip Reviews admin.
Go to the Reviews section in your AfterShip Reviews account.
Click on All reviews if you want to edit reviews randomly.
To edit reviews for some specific products, navigate to All products and choose those products for which you want to edit reviews.
On the reviews management dashboard, choose unverified reviews that you want to edit.
You can either apply a filter to sort Unverified reviews or identify them by checking if they have a green verification check.
Verified reviews cannot be edited, moved, or deleted.
For all the unverified reviews, the Edit review option will be activated. Click on the three vertical dots and click Edit review to make changes to

Uploaded images or videos
Click on Save changes option to finish the editing process.
In case you feel that some products have irrelevant reviews, which will make more sense for other products, then follow these steps:
Go to the Reviews section again in your AfterShip Reviews account.
Click on All reviews.
For the unverified reviews, on the side panel, click the three-dot icon and select Move review.
To bulk-move unverified reviews, select reviews and click More actions > Move review(s) on the upper-bar.
Select the product from the dropdown under which you'd like to move this review to and click Confirm.
Verified and store reviews cannot be moved to a different product.
No, reviews synced from Trustpilot will retain their original verification status.
Yes, unverified reviews can be edited, whether they are published or not.
Yes, edited unverified reviews will be automatically updated online once saved.
