Enable Timestamps for Shipment and Order Updates

Overview



Managing a multitude of shipments has always been tough, therefore keeping a record of the date and time when each shipment gets delivered is important. AfterShip facilitates shipment tracking by offering timestamp merge tags.

Enable timestamps



A. For customers with Old Notifications Flow enabled,

Go to Notifications, Email and SMS in your AfterShip Tracking admin
Click on Settings in the upper right corner. Move to the Date & time section and click Edit





B. For customers with New Notifications Flow enabled,



Go to the Settings in your AfterShip Tracking admin
Click Email and SMS. Select Date and time and then select Edit



After clicking the Edit button, the process for both the flows is the same.

Select the desired format for the Last update time, Expected delivery date, Order date, and Delivered date from the list of formats given in the dropdown.
Tick the checkboxes given for timestamps as per your business requirement



Hit the Save button to finish the process

What should I do after enabling the timestamps?



Once you enable the timestamps, choose the correct merge tags while pushing email notifications.

For example: To display timestamp with order date in your email notifications, use merge tag ORDER_DATE.






You can do the same for the Last update time, Expected delivery date, and Delivered date by using their respective merge tags:
