Overview

AfterShip Tracking allows you and your customers to track your shipments at any time with a tracking number.

Each tracking number is represented by a status at every step of the shipment’s journey. Further, couriers provide checkpoint messages which are mapped to subtags.

Delivery status

The real-time status of shipments at any time is described below:

Status

Description

Pending

No information is available on the carrier website, or the tracking number has not been tracked yet.

Info Received

The shipment has been received and accepted by a shipping carrier.

In Transit

The shipment is on its way to its destination.

Out for Delivery

The shipment has reached a shipping transit point near the recipient and has been loaded and headed toward its final delivery destination.

Available for Pickup

The shipment was dropped off at the collection point near the recipient and is waiting for the recipient to come and pick it up

Delivered

The package has been successfully delivered to the recipient.

Attempt Failed

The shipment could not be delivered to the recipient during the delivery attempt made by the shipping carrier.

Exception

There is an issue with the shipment which may result in a change in the scheduled delivery date or terminate the delivery of the shipment

Expired

No tracking information has been received for this shipment in the last 30 days.

You can also send automated email notifications for 7 of these tracking statuses to your customers.
