Frequently Asked Questions for Existing Users Upgrading to the Enhanced Notifications

Overview

As part of our commitment to providing an improved user experience, we have recently upgraded our notification system. This help article aims to address some commonly asked questions regarding the upgrade process and its impact on existing users.

Will my notification sending be affected during the upgrade process?

No. Your ability to send notifications will not be affected by the upgrade process. You can continue to send notifications as usual without any interruptions.

Will my notification settings be lost after the feature upgrade?

No. All your existing notification settings will be seamlessly migrated to the new version. You will not lose any of your configured preferences or settings during the upgrade.

Why does it show that the feature upgrade failed?

There are a couple of reasons why the feature upgrade may appear to fail:

If you enabled SMS notifications after joining the upgrade queue, you need to register a dedicated phone number to complete the upgrade process successfully.
It's also possible that your application for a dedicated phone number has been rejected.

In such cases, please refer to this article to understand the requirements and ensure compliance.

I've been using SMS notifications before the upgrade. Will the upgrade affect my SMS billing?

If you were using the pay-as-you-go billing model for SMS notifications (paying the SMS fee at the end of your billing cycle), you can continue using this model even after the upgrade. Your SMS billing process will remain unaffected, and you can pay the SMS fees at the end of each billing cycle as before.

However, we also offer a new SMS subscription plan which you can opt for if desired. Once you switch to the subscription plan, please note that it is not possible to revert back to the pay-as-you-go model.

How can I switch to the SMS subscription plan?

To switch to the SMS subscription plan, follow these steps:

If you are using our tracking product, visit the admin page and subscribe to an SMS plan from there.
If you are utilizing our SMS marketing products and already have an active SMS plan, you can update your SMS billing model directly on the notification page. After updating, you will be able to share the SMS quota between SMS marketing and tracking notifications.
