How to use merge tags

You can enable tags for Welcome emails, Abandoned carts, and Order follow-up emails. To modify pre-built AfterShip templates with merge tags, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Newsletters or Flows in your AfterShip Email admin

  2. Select the type of email you wish to create or customise and click Edit

  3. Click Send email from the flow editor

  4. Now go to the Content tab, down to the Text block.

  5. Edit text to insert merge tags from the dropdown.

  6. Click the Save button.

Based on the merge tags inserted, relevant data will be auto-populated directly to the email based on the pre-purchase scenario.
