How Do I Add Tags to Contacts

Checklist for creating tags

  • Tags can contain letters (a-z and A-Z), numbers (0-9), and hyphen (-)

  • Tags cannot contain space, ampersand (&), equals sign (=), underscore (_), apostrophe ('), dash (-), plus sign (+), comma (,), brackets (<,>), or period (.)

Create tags

  1. Log into your AfterShip Email account > Navigate to Contacts > Select a contact to add tag (Click on the email id)>

2. Under the Tags section, click Edit

3. Select an existing tag or create a fresh one as per your choice 4. Click Save

Note: You can add multiple tags to a contact.

Remove tags

  1. Go to Contacts > Select contact to add tag(s) > Edit tags

  2. Click on the “X” icon beside the tag that you wish to remove

3. Click Save

Segment newsletters based on tags

  1. Go to Newsletters > Choose a newsletter to edit

2. Go to “Send to” section under the Settings **tab > **Filters > Edit filters

3. Click on Add filter > Choose Tag

4. Select your preferred tag(s) > Save changes
