How to Send EDD Updates With AfterShip

AfterShip supports the EDD feature that lets its users share updates on when the shipment will reach customers’ doorstep. This help guide will explain how to share updates when the EDD is missed or revised.

This feature is only available for Pro and Enterprise plan users. Upgrade your plan if required to share EDD updates proactively.

➡️ Steps to send EDD updates with AfterShip



Go to your AfterShip account’s Notifications section > Select Emails and SMS

Click Create email workflow and then choose Estimated Delivery Date from the dropdown menu. Also, decide whether you want to send an email notification for the missed EDD or revised EDD and click Create to proceed further


You will land on the email workflow editor page, where you need to take care of a couple of things like:


Edit email template: Make sure you customize our default email template as per your needs. You can modify email subject, insert additional information using content blocks, choose your favorite font, add colors, etc.

Trigger fields: If you want your email to be triggered based on certain criteria, explore the options. Otherwise, leave this field as is

Status: Change it to Enabled

Click Save to start sending automated EDD updates


Note: You can delete or edit your created flow anytime.
