This guide provides step-by-step instructions to create multiple organizations within your AfterShip account. With this feature, you can manage multiple businesses under a single login.
Creating multiple organizations in your account
Log in to your AfterShip account.
In the AfterShip dashboard, click the organization name.
Click the organization name again from the dropdown menu.
To start creating a new organization, click +New organization.
You will be redirected to a new page to set up the organization.
Fill in the required details:
Organization name: Enter the full name of your organization.
Short name: Enter a short version of the name of your organization
Note: Short name must be at least 5 characters, including lowercase letters (a-z) and digits (0-9).
Industry: Select your organization’s industry from the dropdown menu.
Website: Enter your organization’s website URL.
Monthly orders: Select an estimate of your monthly order volume from the dropdown menu.
Time zone: Select the time zone for your organization.
Click Create to finalize the setup.
Your new organization will now appear in the My organizations section.
To switch between organizations, click the Organization name and select the organization you want to switch to.
You can also create an organization using the following steps:
Visit to My organization > Create an organziation > configure organization details > click Create.
Troubleshooting
If there is an error while entering the short name, ensure it has at least 5 characters and uses only lowercase letters and numbers. Try a different short name if the one you entered has already been taken.
If you can’t switch between organizations, log out and sign in again to refresh your session.

1. Can I delete an organization after creating it?
You can delete your organization only if you are the owner of the organization. However, if you are a member, you will need to request that the owner remove you from the organization.
2. How many organizations can I create in one AfterShip account?
You can create up to 20 organizations in one AfterShip account, but creating multiple organizations should align with your business needs.
3. Can I have different members for each organization?
Yes, each organization can have its own set of members.
4. Will data from different organizations be merged?
No, data from each organization remains separate to ensure security and proper management.
