Overview

Exporting return data in AfterShip Returns is a straightforward process that allows you to customize your exports using filters and understand the platform's data retention policies. Below is a comprehensive guide to help you navigate this process.

AfterShip Returns provides tools to export detailed return data from the Returns (RMA) dashboard. You can apply filters to customize your export or retrieve all returns within the last 365 days. For data older than 365 days, aggregate analytics reports are available.

Using filters for custom exports

To export a filtered list of returns, including customer-reported return reasons:

  1. Open the Returns (RMA) dashboard in your AfterShip Returns admin.

  2. Apply the desired filters, such as Request date, Return reason, Return status, and Sub reasons.

  3. Once the filters are applied, proceed to export the data. The exported file will reflect the filters you selected.

Step-by-step export instructions

Follow these steps to export return data:

  1. Navigate to the Returns dashboard in your AfterShip Returns admin.

  2. Click the Export button.

  3. In the export range options, choose one of the following: -

a. Filtered Data: Apply filters to narrow down the dataset and export only matching records.

b. All Returns: Export all returns created in the last 365 days.

4. Specify the recipient email address where the CSV link will be sent.
