How to Use Shipment Tags on AfterShip

Keeping a close eye on your shipments is extremely important because you’ll end up creating an awful post-purchase experience if you fail to keep control of them.

With AfterShip, you can now add tags to your shipments just to classify them for better management. Here’s what you should know:

You can create up to 500 shipment tags if you are on a Pro plan or higher.

➡️ Steps to use shipment tags



Log in to your AfterShip account > Go to Shipments

Choose the shipment for which you want to add a tag

Upon selecting a shipment, a details window will appear

Look for the Shipment tags option and then click Add


Now, just enter a tag name and click the “+” to add it

Note: You can create a maximum of 10 tags at one time. All your created tags will be saved automatically for later use. Also, you can add maximum 50 tags for each shipment.

After adding all the tags, click the Confirm button to save them for your shipment


Bam! It’s done

ICYDK: To remove a tag, just click on the shipment to see its details and find the tag, and click the cross (x).

🤔 Can I add tags to multiple shipments at once?



Yes, you can perform a bulk action to do your job faster. Here’s what you need to do:

On the Shipments page, you will see a checkbox (on the left of each shipment) you need to click to select multiple shipments at once

Click Add tags and choose the tags (if already created) to add them. You can even create new tags as well for your selected shipments


🤔 Can I filter shipments using the created tags?



Yes, of course!

Simply go to the Tags filter and select the tags to find all the related shipments effortlessly 🤟

👀 Is there a way to delete or rename saved tags?



Yes, you can delete or rename your saved tags easily with AfterShip

Go to the Tags filter and click Manage

Search for the tag that you want and hover over it to see the delete and rename option


Click the Confirm button to save your changes

Note: Once a tag is deleted, it will be removed from all associated shipments. So, be careful when deleting shipment tags because it could cause management problems otherwise.
